The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) explained that the changes are designed to enhance quality of life, stimulate trade, drive economic growth, and address humanitarian needs. Officials added that the reforms were informed by extensive studies and feedback from both residents and international stakeholders.

Here are key highlights of the new regulations:

Entertainment Visa: Granted to foreigners visiting temporarily for leisure purposes.

Event Visa: For those attending festivals, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, or cultural, economic, sports, religious, or educational activities.

Cruise Tourism Visa: A multiple-entry visa for tourists arriving on cruise ships or leisure boats, subject to an approved travel itinerary and a licensed host company.

    Expanded Residency Options

      Business and Labour Visas

Business Exploration Visa: Requires proof of financial solvency, ownership of a stake in an overseas company, or documented professional practice.

Truck Drivers’ Visa: Allows foreign lorry drivers to obtain a visa for single or multiple trips, provided the sponsor is a licensed freight or transport company, with health insurance and financial guarantees required.
