Payment of May 2023 salaries to Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including the Military and Paramilitary agencies may be delayed, THE PORTWAY learned.
This information came to light in a FAAN circular sighted by one of our correspondents who noted that the delay was due to glitches from the Central Bank of Nigeria’s portal.
“This is to inform all staff that Management has uploaded salaries and is awaiting debit at the Central Bank of Nigeria. However, FAAN have been advised that the payment of May 2023 salary would be delayed beyond the normal cycle due to glitches from the CBN’s portal,” the statement read in part.
The delay, THE PORTWAY can confirm is not peculiar to FAAN alone as other MDAs including the Military and Paramilitary agencies were affected.
“Please note that this situation is not peculiar to FAAN alone as other MDA’s including the Military and Paramilitary agencies are experiencing the same delay.
Management appreciates your co-cooperation and understanding in this regard,” the Circular concludes.
